The Simple yet Edgy Look

This fashion choice describes my personality perfectly. The green top is simple but the fringes on it makes it stylish. I always like to keep things simple but I always like to look good at the same time. The ripped jeans give this outfit an edge, which I can have at some points. And the black boots make the outfit look bold and strong which are both characteristic traits of mine. This could be considered a fashion risk because the size of the holes in the pants are not a norm but I have my own style so I like to wear them.

The Striped Look

For this fashion statement I chose a baby doll dress but wanted to hide my chest and arms so I added a gray and black cardigan over it which also added more color. I didn't want my entire legs showing because I wanted to look conservative so I wore black heel boots. The head band in my hair holds back my hair and allows my face to show more. I also wore a crossbody purse because the stripes matched the cardigan and also added color. My fashion choices emphasized my personality because I try to be conservative yet stylish.

This fashion statement is a cheetah dress with a leather coat over it. I added a black flower to my hair because I didn't want to add jewelry. This could be considered a fashion risk because to some people this may look like lingerie or that it is too short but it fit me well so I liked it. The leather jacket adds an edgy look and puts the outfit together well.

The Christmas Look

The social statement I am making with this dress is a simple red silk dress. This red is very vibrant so I didn't want to add too many accessories besides a little black necklace. My makeup also matched the dress because I added red blush. This emphasizes my personality because red is a loud color and I am a loud person.

The Retro Look

This fashion statement has a lot going on. I chose to wear a purple paint splattered halter with a black tube top under because I was trying to hide my chest because the shirt went down too low. I wore ripped jeans which could be considered a fashion risk because some people might think the holes are too big or out of style from the 80's. I also wore a crossbody burberry purse. I tied my hair back to look simple because there was a lot going on with the outfit.

The Wild Look

Although there isn't any jewelry or accessories with this outfit, the dress itself stands out enough. This is a fashion statement because animal prints is in nowadays. I like to wear this dress when I don't feel fit and want to wear something a little looser. This emphasizes my personality because animal print is edgy and wild and that is how I like to be at times.

The Professional Look

For this fashion statement I wore plain black dress pants with a white shirt. I liked this shirt because it had little flowers on the top and gave it style. I also wore a white head band to add some more color to this outfit. This is a professional look because you could wear this on an interview or to work. This emphasizes my personality because I know what is appropriate to wear in certain situations. About.com said "You can use fashion to express yourself, to serve as an extension of your personality: goth, skater, soccer mom, professional." This fashion choice expressed my professional side.

The Summer Look

This outfit is  a lot different then anything I usually wear because there is lots of colors and I usually only wear black. I wore a bright pink tank top with a multi colored skirt along with a waist belt to put the two together. I wore a black clutch because it matched my belt and sunglasses on my head which fit the summer look

The more color the better!

For this fashion statement I chose a plain black long sleeve shirt and decided to dress it up. I wore a waist high skirt with designed leggings. I also wore black boots to match the black shirt. Because the shirt was so plain I wore a long black necklace to add some style to the top. This emphasizes who I am because I am unique and so is this outfit.

The Pin-Up Girl Look

For this fashion statement I chose a tight fitted white corset with jeggings, which are in style now. I added black and gold stilettos to match my bold chunky gold necklace. This outfit would be very plain without any jewelry and I wanted to make it stand out so I added the biggest necklace I could find. About.com had said "Fashion statements can be made with clothes, accessories, shoes, hair, makeup, even your cellphone" and my fashion statement was my necklace and hair which completed this outfit. This is a very tight fitting outfit and some may consider that to be a fashion risk but personally I think it is classy.

The Beach Look

Even though this is a simple swimsuit, I added elements to make it look better. I wore big sunglasses and added a red flower to my hair because it matched my swimsuit. This bikini emphasizes who I am because it is tiny and shows off my body. If I was afraid of how I looked, like some women do, I would not wear such a revealing swim suit but wearing this shows that I am comfortable with myself.

The Golden Goddess Look

This is my favorite look because it made me feel the best when wearing it. My fashion statement is a tight fitting gold dress. This dress could of been worn very simple but I wanted to add a bold chunky necklace because this is a strapless dress and it looked plain without anything. I also wore black and gold studded heels to match the rest of the outfit. Because this look is very elegant I chose to curl my hair to go along with the style. This outfit made me feel good about myself because it showed off my legs and made me feel feminine. The entire outfit could be considered a fashion risk because I am revealing a lot of skin but if you are a woman you should be able to show some skin off.

The Little Black Dress Look

I really like this outfit because even though it is only a black dress, the flowers on the top make it stand out. I chose to wear black and white heels because I wanted to add some color to the look. This is a classy dress so I only wore studded diamond earrings. This fashion statement is very professional and could be worn to an important event. This emphasizes who I am because it is professional and classy.

The Club Look

 I really like Miley Cyrus' style because she has the edgy/creative look.

For this fashion statement I wanted to keep it simple, but cute. I chose a plain black long sleeve shirt with lace on the side tucked into a white skirt. To dress up the look I added black and white hanging earrings with black high rise boots. I also wore my hair back because I wanted to show off my earrings. This represents fashion because this style is in nowadays. This emphasizes who I am because even when I want to look simple I always want to look cute so I added accessories to spice up my look. The boots could be     considered a risk but I personally think they add style.

The Biggest Risk Look

This picture was taken on Halloween and represents the biggest risk because nobody wears this on a normal basis and it reveals a lot of skin. For my fashion statement I wanted to find the brightest colors I could find so I chose a lime green tank top that I cut slits into, lime green shorts, and lime green fish nets. To add to this fashion statement I wore black furry leg warmers, glow in the dark bracelets, black strings around my arms and a glow stick around my neck. The point of this outfit was to look like a go go dancer so I wanted to wear as many bright colors as possible. I curled my hair because I knew this look would stand out so I wanted my hair to look good as well. I named this the biggest risk because when deciding if I wanted to wear this I was nervous because I didn't want people to get the wrong impression of me. Even About.com had said "Everything you put on sends a message." I thought wearing it was fun and exciting and it emphasized my body. When wearing this I thought to myself that men are able to wear whatever they want and not be judged so why can't I for a day, so I went for it.

The Relaxed Look

This fashion statement is the most common in our society today.  The "jeans and uggs" look is very popular with female girls. I chose to wear a simple white sweatshirt with ripped jeans and folded Uggs. I didn't add any jewelry or accessories because the norm with this look is to look simple. I wore this outfit because it made me feel comfortable and gave me a sense of belonging because everyone wears it. Most girls today wear the simple jeans and uggs outfit when they are feeling tired or just don't feel like dressing up, and that was exactly how I was feeling when I chose this outfit. Most men dislike uggs and think they are ugly but girls don't care and wear them anyway which shows we have our own minds.

The Princess Look

This photo was taken during my senior prom. I chose the brightest and biggest dress I could find because I wanted to stand out the most on this important day.  I chose a pink princess dress with embroidered sequins and diamonds on the corset. For my jewelry I wore a simple diamond bracelet with diamond hoop earrings. I wore my hair back in a poof to highlight my neutral colored make up and earrings. I also held a bouquet of flowers to bring out the color of my dress. My fashion choice for this outfit emphasizes who I am because it showed how bold my personality is. This was a fashion risk because I was the only girl with a dress this big but I didn't care because it made me stand out. There was an awareness of gender while wearing this because all of the boys had black suites on and I had a bright feminine color on which made us look very different.

The Leather Look

For this fashion choice I chose to wear a bright blue strapless dress with leather leggings and black heels. I wanted to keep the jewelry simple because the clothing was very bold and I didn't want it to look trashy. I also chose to keep my hair simple and leave it down straight to emphasize the dress. The leather leggings make a statement because during this time all  of the celebrities were wearing them and they are very bold. The bright blue dress with the black leggings and heels represent my personality because they show I can be colorful but at the same time tough. This would definitely be considered a fashion risk because most people would not wear tight black leather leggings with stilettos. When my guy friends saw me wearing this outfit they were taken back because they knew it was not the norm and they didn't know how to react. About.com had said "To some, fashion is an art form. To others, it is almost a religion." To me this meant fashion is being able to create an outfit and rock it no matter what anybody thinks about it because if you are confident in wearing it, and thats all that matters.

The Culture Look

This picture was taken for an event I was apart of in which I had to dress as a certain country. I chose to wear red green and white beads to bring out the Mexican colors along with a bright green sparkly headband. I wore silver sunglasses which made my look even more unique. I also chose a black shirt and use neon colors to stand out more. This outfit emphasizes my creative and fun side and also gives off the impression that I will wear what I want and I don't care what others think of me. This would be considered a fashion risk to many people because they wouldn't want to be embarrassed or judged for standing out. Before going to this event I knew men were going to be there and they were probably going to say something rude for expressing my creative side because none of the other girl teams stood out this much, but to my surprise I got a lot of compliments.

The Elegant Look

This picture of myself makes a statement because I added black and white earrings that hung low enough to be seen and wore black heels to match the black lace in the dress. I curled my hair and added silver eye shadow to enhance my face. This fashion choice emphasizes the elegant side of my personality because even though there is some skin showing on my legs, I chose a dress that would be long enough that would not make it inappropriate. The lace also makes it elegant because it covers up my chest and does not expose anything. This might be considered a fashion risk because I am wearing a white dress that is very bold.
